The Kalamalka Highlanders and the Arran Campbell Memrial Youth Pipe Band won a first place ribbon at the IPE parade Sept. 3.

Registration for both bands takes place this week. Sign up for the Arran Campbell youth band is Wednesday, 6 to 7 p.m., at the House of Dwarfs on 29th Street. Registration for the Kalamalka Highlanders is Thursday, 6 to 7 p.m., at the Vernon Recreation Centre.
