Downtown Salmon Arm will be overrun with costumed kids and grown-ups Wednesday afternoon for the 28th Annual Halloween Trick or Treat Trail.

The Oct. 31 event runs from 3 to 5 p.m., during which time kids can get a head start on their trick-or-treating and enjoy related activities by visiting participating businesses throughout the downtown core.

Alexander Street from Highway 1 to Lakeshore Drive will be closed during the event.

Centenoka Park Mall has its own Trick or Treat Trail running from 3 to 5 p.m. Trick-or-treaters are invited to visit the stores displaying a balloon to find their treats. Stop by the mall between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. and visit Warehouse One for chili and hot dogs, with all proceeds going to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
