As the calendar creeps closer to the end of the year, there will be more and more holiday themed events popping up around town.
One event that will be popping up is the Nanaimo Art Gallery’s Holiday Pop-Up Shop, which will be selling a variety of locally made art for a limited time.
“It’s a little store that is there for a few days and then it is gone,” explained Dawn Marusin, visitor service coordinator for the gallery. “It is a fundraiser for us.”
The gallery’s pop-up shop, which runs from Nov. 28 until Nov. 30, will be selling locally made art cards, blown glass, prints, paintings, ceramics, candles, holiday greeting cards and handmade chocolates.
“We’ve got lots of local artists,” Marusin said. “There will be a good variety of stuff.”
Money raised from the Holiday Pop-Up Shop will be used to support the gallery.
There will also be a unique window display by Russ Moreland from the Electric Umbrella Tattoo and Gallery.
The Holiday Pop-Up Shop runs at the Nanaimo Art Gallery’s downtown location next weekend starting on Nov. 28. at 4 p.m. Please visit www.nanaimoartgallery.com.
