Black Press photo supervisor Don Denton was working in Vancouver at the start of the punk revolution.

His images of the bands on the scene at the time and making a name for themselves, such as DOA, Pointed Sticks, Subhumans and the Dishrags, among others, are featured in “Punk Rock Rising, Vancouver 77/78.”

The runs April 9  to May 8 with a 7 p.m. artist’s reception at Talk’s Cheap record store and gallery, 556B Pandora Ave. on April 9. Hours:  Wed.  through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., except 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays.
