It's Love for Lilee on June 22 at Chances Chilliwack to raise funds for daughter Lilee-Jean Frances.

Chilliwack performer Andrew Putt is setting down his microphone for a while.

The former singer for Pardon My Striptease and solo artist says he’ll be spending as much time as he possibly can with his family now.

But before that, he’s planning one last little show.

It’s Love for Lilee fundraiser on June 22 at Chances Chilliwack to raise funds for daughter Lilee-Jean Frances.

Putt’s two-year-old, LJ, has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer since soon after she was born. She’s been through surgery and chemo, but it couldn’t stop the march of the disease. Recently, he and Chelsey have been told her brain tumour is back and medical officials have told the family it could be a matter of months.

“In order to spend every minute possible with our little girl and allow her to experience as much in her short life as possible, I needed to do something,” said Putt.

The team at Chances Chilliwack is backing Putt in his endeavour this weekend, said Great Canadian Gaming spokesman Howard Blank.

They’ve provided a stage, and stepped up as the first local business to donate $1,000. Ten per cent from the food and beverage sales made during the night will also go to Putt and his family, said Blank, and they’re challenging all local businesses and members of the community to come, donate and support the Love for Lilee fundraiser.

A donation box will also be available on-site for those who can’t make the event.

Love for Lilee Fundraiser Saturday, June 22, 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Chances Chilliwack (The Well) 8180 Young Road.
