QUALICUM BEACH — The Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach once again hosts its annual festival of wine this weekend.
On Sat., April 9, the event features a wine seminar, tastings, appetizers, auctions and more — with proceeds going to the Qualicum Beach Volunteer Fire Department’s spring fire camps.
The wine seminar (limited to the first 100 patrons) takes place at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre (and is sponsored by The Landing restaurant at Pacific Shores resort) before the main event.
The festival itself — which almost always sells out — takes place at the Civic Centre from 7 to 9 p.m. and features a who’s-who of Island and B.C. winemakers and distributors.
For tickets, contact Michele Jack, mnjack@telus.net, or 250-752-6650.
