RED Talks looking for speakers on perseverance

RED Talks will kick off Rossland Youth Week on April 28 and the event's organizer is still looking for speakers.

The theme for this year’s RED Talks is perseverance and there are still spots open for speakers.

Last year’s speakers at the TED Talks-inspired event spoke on the theme of giving back. Youth and adults alike spoke about ways they found to give back to community, both locally and globally.

This year’s event will once again kick off Rossland Youth Week at the Old Fire Hall, with the date set for Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m.

Jonny Coleshill, teacher at Seven Summits Centre for Learning, is organizing the event and is still looking for speakers who can address this year’s theme of perseverance. Anyone interested can contact him at jonathan.coleshill@apps.nides.bc.ca.

For those planning to attend, admission is $10 and the event is a fundraiser for Seven Summits.
