Kootenay residents are encouraged to bring skateboards, BMXes and rollerblades to the upcoming concert in Ymir on June 27. Hosted by FoundationStone, the party will include a barbecue, live music and plenty of good vibes.
“It’s going to be great, because it’s just like partying in the middle of nature because the Salmo river’s right there and you’re surrounded by the trees, the mountains. It’s going to be a lot of good family vibes going down in Ymir,” said organizer Patrick Bonin.
DJ Selectah Messenjah will also perform at the event, which will be held in Ymir Hall. Newcomers the Hilties will also make an appearance.
The barbecue will begin at 6 p.m on Saturday, and the music will start at 8 p.m.
“We’ve got this new skate park so I thought it would be a great opportunity for families to experience a bunch of different things about Ymir,” said Bonin.
Tickets are $10 and campsites will be available for an additional $10.
To book a spot contact Patrick Bonin at 250-551-7720. The party is intended for all ages. For more information visit Reggae Campout with Foundationstone and the Hilties on Facebook.
