The 22nd annual Roots and Blues Festival at the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds celebrated music, and hair, in all its forms this past weekend.
Making his way to the TD main stage Saturday, Canadian folk and country legend Ian Tyson, wearing his classic Stetson, entertained with his songs of the land, while London, Ont. born hip hop sensation Shad had hands in the air at the Boogie Bar-N stage.
Canadian songwriter-guitarist Bill Durst joined San Francisco rock outfit The Stone Foxes for one heck of a jam Saturday, while Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, blues-gospel-soul songstress Mavis Staples left the crowd spellbound on the main stage Saturday.
Saskatoon’s follicle frolickers The Sheepdogs also rocked the house for a bang up performance.
