Creative kids can draw or paint a creature from the ice age for a chance to win a trip to the Royal B.C. Museum to celebrate its 130th anniversary.
The contest is open to children in B.C. ages five to 15.
The contest closes Sept. 20 and winners will be chosen Oct. 4. The museum will fly winners, and an adult chaperone, to Victoria to celebrate the Royal B.C. Museum’s 130th anniversary on Oct. 25.
There will be 24 winners chosen and three from each of B.C.’s eight regions will be chosen out of each age category, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15.
Winners will receive a two-night stay in Victoria, a behind-the-scenes tour and will be invited to become ambassadors of the museum in their school.
They will also receive access to the Mammoths: Giants of the Ice Age exhibit and admission to a IMAX screening of Mammoths: Titans of the Ice Age.
