The recent storms have caused downed trees, power outages, ferry cancellations, and more but the Royal City Youth Ballet Company was determined to get to Duncan for their two performances, Dec. 14-15.
They were at the ferry terminal by mid-morning Dec. 14 but due to high winds cancelling sailings didn’t get onto the ferry to Vancouver Island until late afternoon.
However, the troupe was still able to get the show on the stage by 7:30 p.m., just half an hour after the originally scheduled time Friday, providing an evening of magical entertainment for the big crowd that had gathered for this traditional Christmas ballet.
