A new music video featuring Sam Tudor’s song Truthful made its debut last week and is garnering accolades from online viewers.
Truthful is one of the songs on his newest album Quotidian Dream, slated for release this summer.

Tudor recently finished a film degree at the University of British Columbia and got to work alongside some really talented filmmakers there, including Lucas Hrubizna who worked on the music video with him.
“Lucas has been both my friend and, I think, an amazing talent for a long time. But when he proposed the idea of a music video that examines the nature of an ‘adult baby’, I was obviously pretty nervous. I did not want to make it seem like we were making fun of an already vulnerable demographic.”
The two friends applied for a Much Music grant, but because it was for a “fairly significant” amount they did not think they would be successful.
“I thought to myself, ‘well, you’ll never have to worry about this issue because you won’t get that money.’ And then we got the money and had to face the complicated idea head on.”
Receiving the grant forced him to take himself into a creative realm that was uncomfortable, but in the end Tudor was glad for that experience.
“Both Lucas and I plan to do more work in the future,” he said.
Audiences in Williams Lake had the opportunity to hear Tudor perform Truthful recently when his band played as part of the popular Safety Meeting concerts held at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre.
“I’m trying to be truthful , I am, I am, I am. I don’t want to be useful,” the song goes.
Tudor grew up in Big Lake and Gavin Lake and graduated from Lake City Secondary in Williams Lake.
