This year at Brian Scott’s Christmas show at Filberg Lodge he will be featuring his Book #4 and original paintings from “Skiing on the Island.”
Scott grew up with the ski industry starting at Forbidden in 1961 when a ski pass plus membership in the Fanny Dunkers was $20. The book tells early stories of Mount Becher ski club and the wonderful system of log cabins such as Jay lodge.
Everyone’s favourite was Forbidden Plateau Lodge with its huge stone fireplace and reasonable accommodation. Everyone’s hero was Herb Bradley who would pack in the 12 volt battery to fire up the ski lift.
Scott’s books cover a wide range of skiing stories.
Scott’s showing runs Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. Signed first editions of Scott’s books will be available. Book #1 and #2 are sold out. Book #3, #4 and #5 will be available.
