Now to May 30 – Cornerstone Framing and Gallery (46085 First Ave.) is having a spring-themed art exhibition, In Bloom, featuring the floral paintings of six artists in a variety of mediums. The show runs April 2 to May 30. 604-392-2273. Open Tuesdays to Saturdays.

Now to May 31 – The Chilliwack Museum Chambers Gallery is calling artists for its 2014 Call for Entry. Solo, partnered or grouped exhibitions are welcome to apply. The deadline is May 31, 2013. Please submit 5” x 7” photos, or DVD, or memory stick (PowerPoint or Word doc.) in any medium, a biography, an artist statement, 20/30 examples required. Now to June 1 – The annual District 33 Art exhibit is on display at the Art Gallery in the Cultural Centre April 25 to June 1. The show features artwork by local high school students. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., plus some evenings during shows in the theatre.

Now to June 2 – The Chilliwack Visual Artists Association presents Celebration of the Arts at the Royal Hotel (45886 Wellington Ave.). The lobby, café and homestead room will be transformed for the month of May with a free exhibit of original and creative paintings and art pieces in a variety of media. The exhibit is open Sundays to Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesdays to Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Now to Oct. 2 – The Eco Market runs every Wednesday evening (4 to 8 p.m.) at Sardis Park from now to Oct. 2. The market features local artists, live music, fresh food and more. The market’s juried artisans offer works in a variety of media including glass, textiles and fibre arts, wood, ceramics, jewelry, painting, drawing, photography, basketry, recycled and mixed media and metalwork. All work is handmade by the artist who is on site.

May 22-26 – Theatre Junkies Anonymous Fine Arts presents Treasure Island at the UFV theatre (45635 Yale Rd.). Show times are May 22-25 at 7:30 p.m. and May 25 and 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets $16/adults, $14 child/student.
