Feb. 27 – Today is your last chance to see 14 Gold: Images from the 2010 Olympics, a solo photo exhibition by Progress photojournalist Jenna Hauck at the Chilliwack Museum. Feb. 28 and March 1 – The Vedder Golden Branch 280 has live entertainment on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. featuring the band Valley Fyre.

Feb. 28 – Vancouver band Good For Grapes performs with local musician Matt Lowen at Acoustic Emporium (45892 Wellington Ave.) at 7 p.m. Tickets $12 at the door.

March 1 – Montreal-based bluegrass and Celtic band, The Bombadils, performs at Bozzini’s for two shows tonight — an early show at 6 p.m., and a late show at 9:30 p.m. Tickets $15 and available at the restaurant (45739 Hocking Ave.), or by calling 604-792-0744 to reserve by phone.

March 2 – ​​An Evening with the Early Stars of Opera takes place tonight at Christ Lutheran Church (9460 Charles St.) at 7:30 p.m. Chilliwack performer, counter-tenor Shane Hanson, takes the stage with fellow UBC students, sopranos Nicole Brooks, Katie Miller and pianist Ryan Goetz. March 5-23 – UFV Theatre presents a contemporary version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet at UFV’s Performance Theatre (45635 Yale Rd.). The production runs March 5 to 23 at UFV’s Performance Theatre at 45635 Yale Road (at Airport Road). Show times: previews March 5 and 6; evening performances (7:30 p.m.) are March 7, 8, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22; and Sunday matinees (2 p.m.) are March 16 and 23. Student matinees at 12 p.m. are March 12 and 13. Ticket prices range from $11 to $23 (plus service fees) and available by phone at 604-795-2814 and online at www.UFV.ca/theatre.

Now to March 8 – Planes + Characters is an art exhibition on display at the Art Gallery in the Cultural Centre until March 8. Paintings are by local artists Sandra Wiens and Pierre Tremblay. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., plus some evenings before theatre performances.

Now to March 13 – The annual Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival runs Feb. 4 to March 13 with dance and music performances at the Cultural Centre, and band performances at G.W. Graham theatre. The festival wraps up with a Dance Honours Performance on March 2, and the Music Honours Performance on April 4.
