Now to April 20 – Art exhibit, Drawing the Line, Shaping the Clay, is on display in the Art Gallery at the Cultural Centre until April 20. The show is an exhibition of pen-and-ink drawings by Heinz Klassen and ceramics by Ted Driediger. Free admission. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m.

Now to May 30 – Cornerstone Framing and Gallery (46085 First Ave.) is having a spring-themed art exhibition, In Bloom, featuring the floral paintings of six artists in a variety of mediums. The show runs April 2 to May 30, with an opening reception on Thursday April 4 from 7-9 p.m. 604-392-2273. Open Tuesdays to Saturdays.

April 18-27 – The Chilliwack Players Guild presents mystery thriller, Postmortem, April 18 to 27 at the Cultural Centre. April 19/20 – The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 280 (5661 Vedder Rd.) has live music Friday and Saturday. This weekend’s band is Valley Fire.

April 24 – Chilliwack Community Arts Council presents its annual spring International Film Series from April 3 to May 8. April 25 to June 1 – The annual District 33 Art exhibit is on display at the Arty Gallery in the Cultural Centre April 25 to June 1. The show features artwork by local high school students. Opening reception is Saturday, April 27 from 1-3 p.m. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., plus some evenings during shows in the theatre.
