A sun-soaked Rock the Shores 2013 hit the West Shore this past weekend, bringing two days of incredible music to 20,000-odd dancing, singing, crowd surfing fans.
Aside from two ambulance calls (one for a fall, one for medical distress), 12 arrests (10 for drunk and disorderly conduct, one for selling marijuana and one for obstructing an officer) and some heavy lineups and traffic, the weekend event went well.
Thousands of fans packed the front crowd, the more relaxed hills behind the main area and, of course, the beer garden.
Rock and roll was the main order of business, and on that front the dozen booked bands fit the bill. The only act with any major problems was Matthew Good, who had some disparaging things to say about the organizers via Twitter after his set started late.
On Sunday Reignwolf surprised audiences with a loud, scorching set showcasing his guitar shredding. Awolnation inspired head banging and crowd surfing and Weezer finished off the night with their playful set of hit songs.
