Singers can once again be a part of the Okanagan Military Tattoo choir.
Molly Boyd is conducting the OMT choir, which will perform at the second annual tattoo, July 25 and 26 at Kal Tire Place.
“This year, the choir is limited to 75 people,” said Boyd. “Anyone is welcome to join – a love of singing is the only requirement.”
There will be five rehearsals and two performances, starting at All Saints Anglican Church July 15 at 7 p.m., where choir members will be registered, given an ID badge, and music will be distributed (music will be sung in unison only).
Subsequent rehearsals take place at Kal Tire Place July 22 at 7 p.m., July 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. and July 25 at 10:30 a.m. July 25 at 1 p.m. is the full dress rehearsal.
Attendance at all five rehearsals is expected.
The choir will sing a selection of well known Second World War songs, accompanied by the Vancouver Naval Veterans Band, as well as the National Anthem, The Maple Leaf Forever, Amazing Grace and Highway of Heroes, with massed bands.
Those who want to be a part of the tattoo choir can contact Boyd at 250-542-4735 for more info.
