What you need to know about the Song & Surf winter festival

February 6-8, 2015, Port Renfrew

Song and Surf Music Festival, one of B.C.’s premiere winter music festivals, combines Canadian art, music and culture with community alliance.  Hosted throughout the picturesque town of Port Renfrew, the multi-venue festival is hosted between a selection of resorts, easy walking or biking distance from each other. Attendees may book accommodation throughout the town or stay at a variety of campsites with shuttle service transporting guests to and from the festival.

This is one of Vancouver Island’s only winter music festivals.

Taking place in multiple indoor venues throughout the picturesque town of Port Renfrew, Song and Surf offers attendees unique and intimate concert experiences featuring world class talent over three days and nights.

The 2015 lineup features: The Boom Booms, Ash Grunwald, Northcote, Bocce Avocado, Weird Party, Willa, The Gaff, Librarian, Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness, Generic, DJ Nigel, Mike Edel (duo set), SAVVIE, Hawk and Steel, Sam Weber, Morning Show, Lady K, Mr. B, Fox Glove.

Port Renfrew Resorts will play host to multiple acts throughout Friday night while the PRCC plays host to Saturday and Sundays night time shows.

Our intimate Sunset Showcases take place during Saturday and Sunday in an amazingly waterfront venue and features some of the region’s best acoustic acts.

What you need to know before you go:

All venues are within walking distance to most accommodations and camping, however there will be Song & Surf shuttles running throughout the weekend. Police will have road blocks set up.

NO DRINKING AND DRIVING.

Food and beverages will be available at all venues.

Remember – this event is 19+ and two pieces of ID will be required.

Port Renfrew is a quiet peaceful community so we ask that all attendees respect our neighbours well transiting to and from accommodations.

A few reminders to help you and the community enjoy the weekend:

• This is a quiet community. Please respect your neighbours and keep quiet when in the streets.

 

• Please visit our great local restaurants for breakfast and lunch.
The main venue will have food and drinks.
The general store is open between 11 a.m. and  7 p.m.

 

• There is no bank machine in Port Renfrew but the store will do cash back when able.

Community involvement is central to Tall Tree Music Festival and Song and Surf Music Festival. Select proceeds of Song and Surf go directly to the Tall Tree Youth Development Fund and the Make Music Now program, providing financial support to youth living in Port Renfrew and the Pacheedaht First Nation.
