The Armstrong Spallumcheen Arts Council Society and Armstrong library are hosts to a talk and photo presentation by Vernon photographer and biologist Buffy Baumbrough, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.
One week following retirement from local politics in Vernon, Baumbrough flew to Colombia in South America. For four months, she indulged her passion for travel, natural history and photography while exploring this rich and diverse country.
She visited fascinating places such as the cloud forests of the Andes, the plains of the northeast (known as the Serengeti of South America) and the wonders of the Amazon Basin.
Trained as a biologist, Baumbrough now spends most of her time either working with her sister in their sustainable landscaping business or creating her photography-based art.
The event takes place at the Armstrong library, located at #9-3305 Smith Dr.. next to Askews Foods.
