Lester Centre manager Michael Gurney said that Prince Rupert has a lot to share with other communities through the medium of TED-style talks.

“Prince Rupert is experiencing an economic and social transformation as it moves from an economy solely reliant on the natural resource sector,” Gurney said. “The speakers at TEDx Prince Rupert are leading or experiencing that change in fields that range from health care to hospitality.”

“Speakers will be providing ideas worth sharing from diverse and unique perspectives.”
