Sczebel Christmas

It’s a sell-out! Because the first show has sold out, there will be a second showing of Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time With Greg Sczebel and Friends. Featuring Sczebel and his band, as well as storyteller James Murray, the first show starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at the Salmar Classic and the second takes to the stage at 9:30. Tickets for both shows are $15 in advance and are available at Tangles Hair Salon in the Mall at Piccadilly, Java Jive and Acorn Music on Lakeshore Drive. Or buy them at the door for $18. Please take a non-perishable food item for the food bank.

 

 

Jazz club

Jazz Night features “Returning Music Heroes,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at SAGA Public Art Gallery. Admission is by donation.

 

 

Magical windows

Santa’s Magical Windows open for viewing  at 3331 60th St. NW in Gleneden. Santa will only be available for photos from 6:30 to 9 p.m. to Dec. 23. Take your own camera and make a donation, with proceeds going to the Shuswap Lake Hospital Foundation.

 

 

Fun

Author and former Salmon Arm resident Royden Lepp will be at Bookingham Palace at Piccadilly Mall to sign copies of Rust, his new hardcover graphic comic for all ages, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26.

Celebrate women

Its All About Women Conference and Exhibition takes place Jan. 28 and will celebrate women and their contributions to the community. The deadline to nominate a special individual has been extended to Friday, Jan. 6. Nominate a woman you admire in one of three categories.
