Qualicum Beach Elementary students invite everyone to their big spring carnival next Friday night.
The exciting carnival will also be a fundraiser for the school PAC (parent advisory committee) events explained parent volunteer Holly Carnegie Letcher.
There will be a silent auction with a lot of great local items to bid on including hotel getaways, merchandise, adventures and services.
They are also still taking donations from the community, which they will be happy to promote through the event.
This year they are celebrating an international theme and they invite everyone to, “travel the world in seven classrooms,” with seven different rooms representing Guatemala, India, Canada, Holland, Scotland, Italy and Japan.
The cultural extravaganza will include food and games related to those countries including an International Food Court from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with sushi, fruit kebabs, hot dogs and more.
Along with the food and auction there will be carnival games, pony rides, a bouncy castles, 50/50 draw, raffle baskets and BMX racing from 6 to 8 p.m.
In the Alphabet Garden behind the school there will be a plant sale and demonstrations.
The carnival is on Friday, April 29 at Qualicum Beach Elementary from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
