August 12 wrapped up the 20th annual Udderfest, featuring four days of laughter-inducing performances in Prince Rupert.

The improv troop Hook Line and Snicker graced the stage twice with one-of-a-kind shows. Bad Things: Funeral Edition with Treena Decker and Krista Ediger inspired laughter and new ideas for “putting the fun back in funeral” with their twisted version of a Martha Stewart-style show.

On Saturday, War of Wits pitted Hondo Arendt, Joey Jack, Chelsea Stamp-Vincent, Helena Skrinjar, Cody Brown, Hans Seidemann and Ryan Staschuk against each other in heated debates. Topics included cutting off the love locks on Rushbrook Trail’s bridges, whether Prince Rupert should build a wall around Kaien Island (and make Terrace pay for it), and — the final showdown — why the debater should or should not be the new mayor. Seidemann and Arendt both won the battle of banter when judges couldn’t tell who received the loudest applause.
