Start summer with Celtic vespers

Oliver Swain, Eric Reiswing bring folk tunes to St. John's church June 17

Celebrate summer’s impending arrival with the lively music of Oliver Swain and Eric Reiswig.

Hailing from Victoria, Swain is Canada’s quintessential folk and traditional musician. He eats, sleeps and breathes music, and his prolific career evidences this in many ways. He delivers his own brand of alternative folk and traditional music to the masses with a smile and a twinkle in his eye.

Reiswig, co-founder of Banquo Folk Ensemble, joins Swain on flutes, whistles and uilleann pipes.

They perform June 17. Celtic Vespers begins at 7 p.m. at St. John’s United Church, 10990 West Saanich Rd. There is no admission charge.  An offering is taken to cover the cost of the musicians and the program.  For details call Eve at 250-656-5273 or email eve.kerr@telus.net.
