Two shows are set to dazzle audiences Sunday afternoon at the Cultural Centre.

Based on the traditional 1883 story by Carlo Collodi and adapted and directed by Jim Leard, The Adventures of Pinocchio continues to stand the test of time as wonderful family entertainment.

“This show is about creating your own adventure,” said Stage Manager David MacPherson, “It’s a 55-minute performance that engages the audience right from the start—and that often makes for some hilarious moments.”

Geared towards children of all ages, characters will often ask the audience what kind of decision Pinocchio should make, encouraging them to consider others, resist peer pressure and to be true to themselves—all lessons Pinocchio learns as well.

Story Theatre has an international reputation and is thrilled to be celebrating its 30th season of Theatre for Young Audiences.

The Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society welcomes Story Theatre’s Pinocchio on Sunday March 6 at 2 and 4 p.m., performing in the main theatre.

Tickets at 604.391.SHOW(7469) or www.chilliwackculturalcentre.ca.
