Summer concert to play Four Seasons

Calvin Dyck returns to Fraser River Heritage Park on Friday, Aug. 5 from 7 to 8 p.m. to perform Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, accompanied by a chamber orchestra.

The ensemble includes Ewa Telega, a pianist from Poland; bassist Elih Bojczuk and violinist Hanna Williamson, both from Mission; violinist Rebecca Bill from Abbotsford and violist Jinhee Park from Surrey.

In addition, the audience will enjoy an art display by Murray Phillips, whose art is especially suited for this concert because of his fascination with nature.

The Art in the Park program features unique wire jewelry of Carobrian; Pam Ellis’ inspirational art; hand-painted glass works from Elsie Chatwin; and metal art silhouettes of Senada Vehabovic.

Then on Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.,  the Envision Twilight Series welcomes Realtime a Cappella Quartet back to Fraser River Heritage Park.

Realtime is a four-part a cappella vocal group based in Vancouver and Bellingham. They thrill audiences around the world with their flawless harmonies and entertaining stage show. They sing in many styles, including modern a cappella, barbershop, doo-wop, vocal jazz and choral music, always bringing their innate sense of music and theatre into the mix to create a thrilling musical experience for live audiences and a cappellaphiles.

Currently, Realtime is Joseph Livesey, tenor; Mark Metzger, baritone; Doug Broersma, lead; and Tom Metzger, bass.

The Art in the Park program features Betty Sandmark’s beaded jewelry.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join them at the park.

The Log Cabin Café and the Blackberry Kitchen are open. Admission is free but donations are encouraged.
