A Surrey concrete contractor is a finalist in the latest season of MasterChef Canada.
David Jorge is among six British Columbians on a list of 49 home cooks from across the country chosen to compete on the reality TV show.
The contestants will have to cook and bake designated dishes under harsh time constraints for judges, with the winner receiving $100,000.
Finalists were chosen after preparing a signature recipe for tasting by three judges – Michael Bonacini, Alvin Leung, and Claudio Aprile.
Jorge is the president and owner of Avante Concrete.
The second season of MasterChef Canada premieres Feb. 8 on CTV.
