A retrospective at the campus Nanaimo Art Gallery looks at the work of a Vancouver Island University instructor.
Swan Song is a celebration of the work of Richard Conroy, an instructor in the university’s department of art and design.
Throughout his career, Conroy designed and instructed courses for all three aspects of the department’s courses while creating his own large body of work in various mediums.
Conroy retires in December and the exhibit will display his prolific and creative output of his artistic career so far. The exhibit runs until May 7 and an opening reception is set for April 28, 4-7 p.m., at the gallery.
The campus location is found on Fifth Street at entrance 5D. For more information, please call 250-740-6350.
