Sympatico to play free concert at Simms Park in Courtenay

Sympatico brings high-energy jazz to the free Simms Park Summer Concert series season on Sunday, June 23 at 7 p.m.

Sympatico brings high-energy jazz to the free Simms Park Summer Concert series season on Sunday, June 23 at 7 p.m.

Sympatico features well-known local musicians with an exciting program inspired by composers such as Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans and Horace Silver. The ensemble includes Rachel Fuller, Jay Havelaar, Don MacKay, Mike Eddy, Rick Husband and Jacob Gregory. The group has played a the Filberg Festival the past three years as well as at the Nanaimo Jazz Festival last year as well as local jazz club performances.

Simms Millennium Park is located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
