Young pianists Jaeden and Aria Izik-Dzurko are putting their musical abilities to great use for the instrument they love.
Accompanied by Joseph Dansereau and David Izik-Dzurko, the siblings will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Schumann, Debussy and more at First United Church at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 21. Proceeds from the concert will go to the church’s piano restoration fund.
Aria was accepted into Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s summer intensive program. She was also recommended by Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts as an observer to the Performing Arts BC Provincials.
Equally accomplished, Jaeden was accepted to Mount Royal University’s “Morningside Music Bridge,” an international enrichment program for gifted young musicians.
Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts recommended him as a competitor in the Performing Arts BC Provincials for the fourth consecutive year – as a competitor and two-time winner in the Canadian composer category. He was the winner of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra concerto competition.
