May 12 — Delhi 2 Dublin play the Mule Concert House. Advance tickets are $15 at The Mule, The Grooveyard, Mosaic Books and www.ticketweb.ca.

May 12 — Masterworks Ensemble present Sweet Bird, an evening of bird and nature-inspired music at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1370 Church St. Tickets $30 and $25 for seniors/youth on sale at The Book Shop and the Leir House.

May 12 to 13 — The Dream Music Festival at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre featuring a lineup of all-stars including Juno and Maple Blues award winners and nominees who will fill your evening with the best in Canadian blues, tinged with cowboy swing. Tickets range from $69 to $99 (plus fees and tax).

May 12 — Texassippi Soul Man Danny Brooks and L’il Miss Debi at Medici’s Gelateria and Coffee House, 522 Fairview Road, Oliver.

May 13 — Fresh BC Talent Quest finals takes place at the Elite Restaurant at 1 p.m. The event features young performers from nine years told to 18 years old.

May 13 — The Naramata Choir presents People Get Ready, a variety of contemporary, pop and gospel music combined with more traditional choral arrangements. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Penticton United Church. Tickets are $20 at the door, or beforehand at Dragon’s Den and Naramata Store for $15 ($10 for students). May 13 — Liquidity Wines is hosting a free art event. Jeff Burgess will reveal his latest large-scale ensemble piece called The Dinner Party. Meet with the artist as he explains the complexity of layers and meaning behind the artwork. Unveiling at 10 a.m. Tickets are free but space is limited. May 19 — Kitchen Stove Film Series presents; After the Storm. Showtimes at 4 and 9 p.m. at Landmark 7 Cinema. For more info visit www.pentictonartgallery.com.

May 20 and 21 — The Medieval Faire returns to Desert Park in Osoyoos, $20 entry fee. A family-friendly event where you can experience the Middle Ages with live jousting, food, games and an array of entertainment. Live Celtic music by Jazzy, a medieval village with vendors and a pub. Medieval feast on Saturday at 6 p.m. for $65. Jousts at noon and 4 p.m. daily.

Until May 26 — New Beginnings art show starts at the Leir House, 220 Manor Park Ave, open Tuesdays to Fridays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

May 27 — The Rotary Club of Penticton presents Lobster Feast. Nova Scotian lobster, or barbecue chicken and ribs, live and silent auction. Tickets are $65 at Red Bag Store or the Shatford Centre.

June 1 — Lloyd Gallery on Front Street hosts the opening reception for the Skies the Limit solo exhibition by Erica Hawkes from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

May 26 until June 8 — Front Street Gallery is featuring guest artist Merle Somerville with Gratitude: Nature’s Bounty. This is a collection of art by the award-winning, master photographer. Opening reception on May 27 from noon to 2 p.m.

May 31 — The We Love Documentary Film Series at the Shatford Centre presents All Together Now. The film is the story behind the partnership between The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil that results in the Las Vegas production of LOVE. Admission by donation, suggested $5. Film showing at 2 p.m.

June 11 — Wildstone Colours 4 Kids event at LocoLanding Adventure Park from 10 a.m to noon. Join in for the ultimate fun run. Choose to run 2.5 kilometres or five km. During the run you will be covered from head to toe in vibrant (washable) colours. All proceeds go to OSNS Child Development Centre. Race has $20 entry fee. June 24 — Grand Sommelier Express returns to the Okanagan. Hop aboard the Kettle Valley steam train for a 90-minute ride that includes a trestle-side stop to sample Bottleneck Drive’s hand-crafted beer and ciders.
