CONCERTS

June 28 — Hip Hop artist Evil Ebenezer with guests at Opal Nite Club in Penticton. Cover is $10.

June 28 and 29 — Barney Bentall with a solo/duo performance on Friday and joined by his band on Saturday at the Dream Café. Tickets are $32.

June 28 —International award-winning tribute artist Adam Fitzpatrick as Elvis (50s to 70s) at the Copper Mug. Tickets are $10 and show is at 8:30 p.m. also featuring other Elvis tribute artists.

June 30 — Gail Riddall is the guest singer at the Opus Cafe and Bistro. Tunes start at 6:30 p.m. $10 admission.

July 4 —Ajna jazz trio at the Cobblestone Wine Bar at Naramata Heritage Inn. Reservations recommended. July 6 at The Elite $5 cover.

July 4 —Punk Rawk night at The Elite with The Bone Daddies, Guts & Glory and Dragstrip Devils. Show at 8 p.m. and cover is $10.

July 4 — Music in The Park kicks off at the Oliver bandshell for the summer with the Penticton Concert Band from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bring a lawnchair. Admission by donation.

July 5 — Australian roots/rock ladies Jungal at Voodoos.

July 5 — Deep resonating voice and true-to-the-roots guitar work of Morgan Davis at the Dream Café. Tickets are $18.

July 7 — Summer Sounds Flute and Piccolo Concert by Misty Rose Knol at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $12.

July 9 — Strings The Thing faculty playing at the Shatford Centre at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.

July 11 — Sarah Burton Band is a roots/rock/folk group from Toronto and are playing at The Elite at 8 p.m. Cover by donation.

July 12 and 13 — Canadian icon Jim Byrnes at the Dream Café. Tickets are $34.

July 13 — Beatriz Boizan embodies the spirit of Latin piano at the Shatford Centre. Tickets are $15. This concert is a fundraiser for Pathways Addictions Resource Centre in Penticton.

July 25 — Lent Fraser Wall Trio at the Naramata Heritage Inn – Cobblestone Wine Bar starting at 7 p.m. They also will be the featured performers Aug. 22, Sept. 20 and Oct. 25.

July 31, Aug1 to 3 — Michael Kaeshammer at the Dream Café. Tickets are $44.

Aug. 3 — Country star Alan Jackson at the South Okanagan Events Centre with special guest Livy Jeanne.

Aug. 3 — Oliver Community Arts Council presents renowned Canadian tenor Michael Burgess in concert. Concert is at 7 p.m. and tickets are $25 in advance at Beyond Bliss, BuyLow Foods, Oliver Parks and Recreation, Polka Dot Door, Jardin Antiques, Paw Prints Studio,  Winemaster, S.O. Country Radio station, Berg’s Showroom and Front Street Gallery. At the gate tickets are $35.

Aug. 15 — Brad Paisley’s Beat This Summer tour at the SOEC with special guests Chris Young and Kristen Kelly.

Sept 9 — Celtic Thunder presents Mythology North American Tour at the SOEC. Show at 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 20 — Country star Dwight Yoakam with special guest Brett Kissel at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Sept. 14 — Celebrating 40 years of rock, Bad Company performs at the SOEC.

Nov. 22 — Matthew Good with special guests Gentlemen Husbands at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

EVENTS

June 28 to 30 — Penticton Elvis Festival brings dozens of tribute artsts to outdoor stages along with special guests. Headliner is Chris Connor at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Headliner’s Showcase also at PTCC. For more info visit www.pentictonelvisfestival.com.

June 29 to July 13 — Penticton Museum and Archives will host an exhibition of work by the artists of the Naramata Arts Studio. The opening reception of Inspirations will take place June 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.

July 20 — RCMP Musical Ride performs at the SOEC for two shows at 2 and 7 p.m.

June 30 — Randy and Mr. Lahey (from Trailer Park Boys) at Opal Nite Club. Doors open at 8 p.m. Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door. 19+ show.

June 30 —Township 7 Vineyards and Winery hosts Art in The Vines at their Naramata Bench location. Live music, food and over 20 artists, artisans and crafters. This is a fundraiser for the OSNS Child Development Centre.

July 4 to 27 — Many Hats Theatre Company production of Frederick Stroppel’s Fortune’s Fools. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the Cannery Stage in the Cannery Trade Centre. Aug 7 to 11 – The 66th annual Penticton Peach Festival with free live entertainment throughout the day, a kiddie’s day, mid-way. parade, aboriginal village and more. Headlining acts include Honeymoon Suite. For more visit www.pentictonpeachfestival.com.
