Aug. 17 — Rock the Sun concert series in Gyro Park features Flint and Feather. Bring a blanket or chair to Gyro Park and enjoy the free music starting at 7 p.m.
Aug. 18 — The Nakatani Gong Orchestra performs in Penticton, one of their five stops in B.C. The performance will be held at St. Saviour’s Church (150 Orchard Ave.). Tickets are $12 for students and $15 for general admission.
Aug. 18 — Join the Mamajamas on the Barking Parrot patio for the summer patio music series. Performance from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Aug. 19 — Join Dorian Goodwin for a free concert at Cannery Brewing. He will perform from 6-8 p.m. Come and support local, live music.
Aug. 26 — Head to Cannery Brewing to enjoy some free live entertainment by Maiya Robbie at Cannery Brewing. Maiya will perform from 6-8pm, no cover charge.
Aug. 31 — Tiger Moon, is a west Canadian folk duo, with elements of bluegrass and country music. They are performing at the Dream Café and tickets are $28 for premium seats and $18 for the wings.
Sept. 12 — The Belle Regards are a Canadian folk group based on the songwriting and complementing voices of Matthew Kingsley and Melanie Hilmi. They are performing at the Dream Café and tickets are $28 for premium seats and $18 for the wings.
Sept. 17 and 18 — With his powerful voice Mike Farris will deliver funky blues-rock over two shows at the Dream Café. Tickets are $63 for premium seats and $53 for the wings.
Oct. 9 and 10 — Rita Chiarelli, Canada’s highly acclaimed female roots and blues artist, is playing the Dream Café for two nights. Tickets are $60 for premium seats and $50 for the wings.

Aug. 17-19 — The Between the Lakes Pow Wow is a drug and alcohol free event open to all. The powwow begins Aug. 17 at the Outma Sqilx’w Cultural School on the Penticton Indian Band Reserve. Sept. 7 to 9 — The 2018 Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Classic at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Watch top prospects from the Canucks and Winnipeg Jets battle on the ice.
