Aug. 25 — The Hillside Outlaws celebrate their debut EP, Country Jukebox, at the Elite Restaurant. Doors open at 9 p.m. and show at 9:30 p.m. Free admission.

Aug. 26 — Head to Cannery Brewing to enjoy some free live entertainment by Maiya Robbie at Cannery Brewing. Maiya will perform from 6-8pm, no cover charge.
Aug. 30 — Bobby Bruce presents his world-class Neil Diamond tribute, Nearly Neil’s Hot August Night Tour, at Tug’s Tap House. Doors open at 6 p.m. and show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Aug. 31 — Tiger Moon, is a west Canadian folk duo, with elements of bluegrass and country music. They are performing at the Dream Café and tickets are $28 for premium seats and $18 for the wings.

Aug. 24 – See the evolution of belly dance in the international dance education fundraiser India to Egypt and Abroad. Presented by Get Bent Dance and Boundless Belly Dance, the event takes place at Cleland Community Theatre. Adult admission is $20 and child admission is $10. Show starts at 7 p.m.

Aug. 26 — The Punjabi Mela Festival takes place in Gyro Park from noon to 5 p.m., raising funds for the B.C. Cancer Foundation. Performances, cuisine and soak in the culture. Free admission.

Sept. 4 — The Rotary Club Penticton Sunrise guest speaker will be MP Richard Cannings. Richard Cannings is our Member of Parliament and the NDP Critic for Natural Resources. Come and join us to ask him to talk on important issues of the day. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting at the Sandman Hotel – doors open at 6:45 a.m., meeting at 7 a.m. Full breakfast $15, coffee/pastry $6.50.
Sept. 7 to 9 — The 2018 Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Classic at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Watch top prospects from the Canucks and Winnipeg Jets battle on the ice. Sept. 8 to 9 — The 18th annual Penticton Dragon Boat Festival at Skaha Lake. Beverage garden, vendors, food and over 2,500 athletes competing.
