Sept. 29 — The House is a Rockin’ Blues Jam hosted by the Yard Katz at Orchard House, 157 Orchard Ave. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Great showcase of local artists from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Admission $5 in support of the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre.

Sept. 29 — Juno nominated powerhouse trio Tim Williams, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne and Brandon Isaak team up to rock the world of Dream Café audiences. Tickets are $38 for premium seats and $28 for the wings. Show is at 8 p.m.

Oct. 6 — Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band, featuring Neil Diamond tribute artist Bobby Bruce at the Frank Venables Theatre in Oliver. Tickets are $35 and show starts at 6 p.m.

Oct. 9 and 10 — Rita Chiarelli, Canada’s highly acclaimed female roots and blues artist, is playing the Dream Café for two nights. Tickets are $60 for premium seats and $50 for the wings.

Oct. 12 — The South Okanagan Concert Society Series presents Marc Atkinson Trio with Cameron Wilson at the Frank Venables Theatre in Oliver. Tickets are $25 at the door. Show is at 7:30 p.m.

Until Sept. 30 — The social life of water in the Okanagan Valley exhibit at the Penticton Museum and Archives.

Sept. 29 — The Comic Strippers, a male stripper parody and improv comedy show, performs at the Cleland Theatre. Tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com or 1-800-838-3006.

Sept. 29 — Joe Enns, fisheries biologist and oil painter, Ecology art show at the Front Street Gallery from 10 a.m. to noon.

Oct. 20 — The ninth annual Oktoberfest takes place at the Penticton Lakeside Resort east ballroom from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tickets are $35 (plus applicable fees) and include a free beer. Tickets available at the Lakeside front desk. For more information visit pentictonoktoberfest.ca.
