Nov. 23 — Country singer Aaron Pritchett performs at the Penticton Lakeside Resort for a benefit concert in support of the YES Project. Tickets are $40 an includes burger and coleslaw. Silent auction hosted by JCI Penticton. Doors open at 8 p.m. and concert starts at 9 p.m.
Nov. 23 and 24 — Oliver Christmas Light Up and fireworks. Nov. 23 includes pictures with Santa from 3 to 5 p.m. Crafts, face-painting, beverages, Christmas wreath contest, caroling, live performances and more in the downtown core from 4 to 7 p.m. Light up ceremony at town hall at 6:15 p.m. Indoor activities at the community centre (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.), bonfire outside in the park and fireworks at 8 p.m. Nov. 24 features free admission to Incredibles 2 at the Oliver Theatre at 2:30 p.m.
Nov. 23 until Jan. 4 — Festival of Trees spread throughout Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. Browse the holiday displays at Nk/Mip Cellars Winery, Black Hills Estate Winery, Oliver Twist Estate Winery and Tinhorn Estate Winery. Minimum donation of $2 suggested. Vote for your favourite tree. Donations will go towards the B.C. Children’s Hospital and the South Okanagan Children’s Charity.
Nov. 24 — The House is a Rockin’ Blues Jam hosted by the Yard Katz at Orchard House, 157 Orchard Ave. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Great showcase of local artists from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 in support of the South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre.
Nov. 25 — Dorian Goodwin performs at the Cannery Brewing Co. (198 Ellis St.) from 6 to 8 p.m. No cover.
Nov. 29 — Angel Forrest at the Dream Café. Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 8 p.m.
Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 — Osoyoos Festival Society presents the Christmas Lite-Up. Toys for Tots to Teens from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Smitty’s, merchant open house from 5 to 8 p.m., carols in front of Home Hardware from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and SOAP presents It’s A Wonderful Life (a live radio play) at the Elks Hall (tickets at soplayers.ca) at 7:30 p.m. Have breakfast with Santa and get your photos ($5) on Dec. 1 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Kiwanis Christmas Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. SOAP production starts at 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 — Penticton Tune-Agers choir and orchestra present Sounds of Christmas at 2 p.m both days in the Shatford Centre, 760 Main St. Tickets are $15 and are available from members, Shatford Centre office, Dragon’s Den, Summerland Beanery and at the door.
EVENTS
Until to Dec. 1 — Many Hats Theatre Co. presents a love story with social commentary and a mystery wrapped in witty dialogue. On a First Name Basis, written by Norm Foster, runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on The Cannery Stage in the Cannery Trade Centre.
Nov. 24 — Total Restoration presents: JCI Penticton Murder Mystery. It’s a 1980s prom at Bogner’s of Penticton for an evening of mystery, intrigue and murder. Ticket includes a full dinner. Nov. 25 — Twas the Night Before Christmas with Dufflebag Theatre as part of the Children’s Showcase. Goofy antics and witty story twists at this performance at the Centre Stage Theatre in Summerland.
Nov. 25 — Grey Cup Party at the Barley Mill. No cover. Purchase a dinner ticket ($20) in advance and support a great cause, Princess Margaret Dry Grad. Door prizes, raffles, win a trip to Las Vegas and more.

Dec. 1 — The 21st annual Downtown Penticton Association Santa Claus Parade at 4 p.m. Starts north on Main Street from White Avenue to the Penticton Lakeside Resort.
Dec. 1 — The Penticton United Church annual Makers’ Market takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dec. 1 — Christmas Craft Day Camp at the Penticton First Baptist Church. A day of crafts, food and fun for kids in Grade 1 to Grade 5. Lunch provided. Register by calling 250-492-3824 or email office@fbcpenticton.com.
Dec. 2 — Join Summerland’s Bottleneck Drive member wineries, brewery and distillery for Light Up the Vines 2018. Tasting rooms will be open, seasonal food available and music and holiday specials.
Dec. 2 — Yuletide at the Lakeside includes a Christmas market, Santa and Mrs. Claus (noon to 5 p.m.), skating rink (bring your own skates), pony rides, festive food and drinks, kids crafts, local entertainment. Free admission and free parking. Cash only for activities. Event starts at 11 a.m.
Dec. 4 — Free Tuesday night movie screenings at the Penticton Library. Showing is the classic action flick Die Hard. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and movie starts at 6 p.m. Films are intended for those older than 18. Bring your bowl for popcorn.
