CONCERTS

Jan. 5 — Rob n’ Walker CD release party at the Dream Café. Everyone goes home with a free copy of the band’s latest CD. Tickets are $25. Show at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Jan. 6 — Enjoy free live entertainment by Darylectones at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m. No cover.

Jan. 8 — Head to Cannery Brewing for vinyl night from 7 to 9 p.m. No cover. DJ Spill will be spinning an all-vinyl set. A mix of classic blues, soul, funk and rock.

Jan. 12 — Justin Glibbery Quintet, featuring singer Yanti Rowland, performs at the Dream Café. Tickets are $30 for premium seats and $20 for the wings. Door opens at 6 p.m. Show is at 8 p.m.

Jan. 13 — Free music Sundays at the Cannery Brewing Co. (198 Ellis St.) with Dorian Goodwin. Performance is from 6 to 8 p.m. No cover.

Jan. 17 — Live local music at Time Winery from 7 to 9 p.m. featuring Niki Martinus.

Jan. 17 — Jack Semple brings modern blues to the Dream Café. Tickets are $37 for premium seats and $27 for wings. Door opens at 6 p.m. and show is at 8 p.m.

Jan. 18 — Maple Blues award-winning Harpdog Brown’s new Uptown Blues Band at the Dream Café. Tickets are $40 for premium seats and $30 for the wings. Door opens at 6 p.m. and show is at 8 p.m.

Jan. 20 — Free music Sunday’s at the Cannery Brewing Co. (198 Ellis St.) with Patrick Gilmour. Performance is from 6 to 8 p.m. No cover.

Jan. 26 — Paul Brandt with High Valley, Jess Moskaluke and The Hunter Brothers at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Tickets at www.ValleyFirstTix.com, by phone at 1-877-SOEC-TIX or at the South Okanagan Events Centre box office. Show starts at 7 p.m.

Jan. 19 — Live comedy at Craft Corner Kitchen with the Okanagan’s own Comedy on the Verge, featuring Tax McNally and headliner David Kopp. Tickets are $15 and show starts at 8 p.m.

Feb. 2 — Freestyle Motocross World Tour at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets available at www.ValleyFirstTix.com, at the SOEC box office or by phone at 1-877-SOEC-TIX.

Feb. 3 — Children’s Showcase presents Oot n Oots, a wildly imaginative band with chops, soul, swagger and brimming with humour and inspiration. Tickets are $12. The performance takes place at the Cleland Theatre at 2 p.m.

Feb. 10 — Caliente Valentine Latin Party from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Barking Parrot. Tickets are $10 or $15 at the door.

March 3 — Children’s Showcase presents Candy Bones with Ideas Bobert. Find out what happens to love-sick Bobert when he discovers his heart to be much more than he knew. Tickets are $12. The performance takes place at the Cleland Theatre at 2 p.m.
