CONCERTS

Sundays Shades on Main has an acoustic open stage every Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in their coffee room. Synchronized by Matt Duffus, there will be a guitar and bass on hand and musician and guest specials.

March 24 — Havyn will play at Cannery Brewing from 6-8pm, no cover charge. Based out of Vancouver, Havyn plays a mix of original and pop/R&B covers. Described as a fresh and never-before-heard voice in music, enjoy her Urban R&B and New Age R&B style. She recently won the title of “Urban Artist of the Year” at the 2018 Western Canadian Music Awards.

March 27 — Lee Holland and Friends perform at the Cannery Brewing Co. from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission by donation, suggested $10.

March 31 — Nightgirl is a musician from Victoria and she will play from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cannery Brewing. No cover charge. Nightgirl uses vocals and keyboards to create songs that are sadistically sweet and soulful.

April 6 — It’s gone country at Tug’s TapHouse every first Saturday from April to August featuring Rob n’ Walker. No cover.

April 7 — Local favourite, Tavis Weir will play at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m., no cover charge. Bring a friend, enjoy the good things in life.

EVENTS

March 22 — Stand-up comedy with Peter Hudson, winner of the 2016 Yuk Off competition, at Craft Corner Kitchen. Hosted by Peter Verge and also featuring comedians Matt Baker and Andre Verge. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

March 23 — The Sideshow, presented by Army of Sass, will feature a number of acts including a shock performer, dancers, aerial acrobatics, flow artists, singers, bellydancers and more. Three shows at the Penticton Lakeside Resort in Salon D starting at 5:30 p.m.

March 23 to May 12 — The Penticton Art Gallery exhibition featuring renowned lighting artist Bentley Meeker. Opening party is March 23 from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

March 25 — The En’owkin Centre presents the Canada Council Reading Series 2019 featuring Cherie Dimaline. Event is at noon at the En’owkin Centre (154 En’owkin Trail).
