CONCERTS

Sundays Shades on Main has an acoustic open stage every Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in their coffee room. Synchronized by Mat Duffus, there will be a guitar and bass on hand and musician and guest specials.

March 29 — The LYNNeSare two Canadian multi-instrumentalists and songwriters who fuse tight vocal harmonies with gritty lyrics. They have been nominated for five Canadian folk music awards and will perform at the Dream Café. Tickets are $35 for premium seats and $25 for the wings.

March 29 — An evening at the Summerland Arts and Culture Centre with Rollin’ Coal, a trio of musicians, who play classics from the 50s to the 90s, with songs from Etta Jones to Buddy Holly and Fleetwood Mac. Tickets are $10 at the door. Music starts at 7 p.m.

March 30 — 2019 Juno Award nominees, the Slogan Ramblers perform at the Dream Café. Tickets are $37 for premium seats and $27 for the wings.

March 31 — Nightgirl is a musician from Victoria and she will play from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cannery Brewing. No cover charge. Nightgirl uses vocals and keyboards to create songs that are sadistically sweet and soulful.

March 31 — Music Matins with Saxxafras Saxophone Quartet, featuring Larry Crawford, Susan Norie and Don Wade. Music celebrating the saxophone at the Naramata Community Church at 10 a.m.

April 6 — It’s gone country at Tug’s TapHouse every first Saturday from April to August featuring Rob n’ Walker. No cover.

April 7 — Local favourite, Tavis Weir will play at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m., no cover charge. Bring a friend, enjoy thegood things in life.

EVENTS

Until May 12 — The Penticton Art Gallery exhibition featuring renowned lighting artist Bentley Meeker. Opening day reception on March 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. An all-ages party will take place on March 29 from 8 p.m. to midnight featuring DJ Shakes. Suggested donation is $10.

March 30 — Okanagan Vintage Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Shatford Centre for the Arts. Shop tables full of vintage treasures. Admission is $2, kids under 12 are free.

April 6 — Comedian Chris Gordon delivers a dynamic interactive experience at the Craft Corner Kitchen. Gordon will be joinedby host Matt Baker and featured comedians Zawer Sulaiman and Phil Maynard. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door.Doors open at 7 p.m. Show is at 8 p.m. Show is recommended for ages 19 and older.

April 12 and 13 — Okanagan Fest of Ale returns bigger and better with over 200 craft beers and artisanal ciders form 75 B.C.-based craft breweries and ciders. Great food, entertainment, onsite attractions, education stations and a pop-up liquor shop. For more information visit www.festofale.ca.
