Sundays – Shades on Main has an acoustic open stage every Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in their coffee room. Synchronized by Mat Duffus, there will be a guitar and bass on hand and musician and guest specials.
June 28 — Who Knew plays at the Penticton Eagles as part of their Friday night dance bands concert series.
June 29 — Simply Queen is Canada’s premier Queen tribute and they will perform at the Venables Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $42.
June 29 — Jonathan ‘Elvis’ Martin and Tyler ‘Elvis’ Cody perform at the Penticton Eagles.
June 29 — The Happiest Little Jazz Show featuring Don Wade’s Sax Among Friends. The concert is at the Nest and Nectar from 7 to 9 p.m. $15 cover charge.
June 30 — Patrick Gilmour will play at Cannery Brewing from 6 to 8 p.m. No cover charge.
July 2 — Live @ Lunch in Nanaimo Square opening day. Enjoy free local music artists over the lunch hour all summer long at Nanaimo Square from noon to 1 p.m.

June 28 to June 30 — Penticton Elvis Festival competition qualifying round at Gyro Park on Friday, gates open at noon, opening ceremony at 1 p.m. Competition semi-finals at Gyro Park, gates open at 8 a.m. and competition starts at 9 a.m. Headliner show at the trade and convention centre. Gospel show and pancake breakfast on Sunday at Gyro Park at 9 a.m. Competition finals at the convention centre.
July 1 — Chairman at BeeLong Gallery & Studios, featuring ex-members of Vibes, Moon Museum, Counterfeit Jeans. Show starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. All ages.
July 1 — Celebrate Canada’s Birthday in Gyro Park from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bouncy houses, face-painting, petting zoo and vendors market. Entertainment on the stage all day and fireworks display to finish the night off at 10 p.m.
July 4 to 27 — Many Hats Theatre Co. presents The Savannah Sipping Society — a comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Special Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, seniors and students are $22. The show is at The Cannery Stage (1475 Fairview Rd.).
July 6 — Historical Places Day at the Leir House. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sax Among Friends. At 1 p.m. is a youth songwriting camp performance. Everyone is invited for plein air painting on the grounds.
July 11 — A night of non-stop improve with Peach Gravy’s troupe. The show is at the Barley Mill at 7:30 p.m.
July 10 to 12 — Tempest Theatre Summer Ensemble Presentation of a thought-provoking, gripping night of theatre. Six scenes featured with local and international actors. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on July 10, 11 and 12. Special matinee at 2 p.m. on July 12. Tickets are $25. For more visit www.tempest.ca.
July 20 — The Summerland Singers and Players present Murder on the Rails: The Case of the Mondello Crime Family. Based on the success of the one-night-only performance last summer, they are bringing it back with a new script with a combination of staged lines and improvised interaction with the audience.
