Aug. 16 — Road Waves make their debut in Penticton at the Mile Zero Wine Bar (200 Ellis St.). They will be bringing a hug sound that touches on funk, blues, rock and jazz. Music starts at 8 p.m. Admission by $10 donation.
Aug. 16 — Rock the Sun free summer concerts in Gyro Park returns with the Mason Burns Band performing music that takes you back to another time of peace, love and change. Concert is from 7 to 9 p.m.
Aug. 17 — Dock Side Drive, one of the West Coast’s newest swing and show bands, perform at the Dream Café at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40 for premium seats and $30 for the wings.
Aug. 18 — Join local favourite Dorian Goodwin, featuring Maven the Raven at Cannery Brewing. They will be performing from 6-8pm. No cover charge.
Aug. 18 — Music and Market in the Park are hosting a free concert at the bandshell in Okanagan Falls (opposite the Legion). An evening of foot tapping music by RobnWalker. Event starts at 5 p.m. Bring your own chairs.
Aug. 21 — Bluesman Al Lerman is a two-time Juno Award winner with the band Fathead and has built a solid career touring as a acoustic solo act with his guitar and rack harmonica. He plays at the Dream Café at 8 p.m. Tickets are $23 for premium seats and $13 for the wings.
Aug. 22 — Multi-award winning musician Sue Foley, who was recently announced as Guitar Magazine’s Best Blues Guitarist nominee will be performing at the Dream Cafe.
Aug. 23 — Rock the Sun free summer concerts in Gyro Park returns with Rumble 100, a premier party band. Concert is from 7 to 9 p.m.
Aug. 25 — Cannery Brewing is the place to be on Sunday, August 25th as Zoonis will be playing from 6-8pm, no cover.
Aug. 30 — Rock the Sun free summer concerts in Gyro Park returns with Ancient Engines, an experimental alternative rock band. Concert is from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sept. 3 — Head to Cannery Brewing for vinyl night from 7-9 p.m. No cover. DJ Spill will be spinning an all vinyl set with a mix of tunes from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, spanning many different genres.

Aug. 17 — The Summerland Singers and Players present Murder on the Rails: The Case of the Mondello Crime Family. Based on the success of the one-night-only performance last summer, they are bringing it back with a new script with a combination of staged lines and improvised interaction with the audience.

Aug. 24 and 25 — Weekend improv workshop at Tempest Theatre & Film led by Vancouver’s Granville Island Theatresports veteran Lauren McGibbon. Workshop is $175 (plus GST) and runs from 1 to 5 p.m. each day.

Sept. 10 — The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society hosts The Human Condition Comedy Tour at Bar One. Tour features three comedians (Shawn Gramiak, Scott Porteous and Nadine Hunt). Event starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Sept. 25 — PDCAC is holding a call for artists for the upcoming fall show Magic & Mystery. Drop off is on Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening night and reception is Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 is the second opening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Sept. 28 — The Comic Strippers, a male stripper parody and improv comedy show, returns to Penticton at the Cleland Community Theatre. Tickets are $39 (plus applicable service fees) and can be purchased at the community centre or call 1-800-838-3006.
