Sept. 13 — Folk-roots singer John Wort Hannam has won a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Album of the Year, a CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award and was a Juno nominee. He performs at the Dream Café at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 for premium seats and $15 for the wings.

Sept. 14 — Country Icons: a tribute to Alan Jackson, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard at the Cleland Community Theatre. Tickets are $49.

Sept. 14 — The Burning Hell performs at the Dream Café at 8 p.m. Tickets are $31 for premium seats and $21 for the wings.

Sept. 14 – Award-winning chanteuse Edie Daponte brings Edith Piaf to life for an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment inspired by Paris at the Venables Theatre in Oliver. Tickets are $38.

Sept. 15 — Yakub T. Coyote will be performing at Cannery Brewing from 6-8 p.m., no cover charge.

Sept. 17 — Head to Cannery Brewing for a night of music with Rollin’ Coal. Come listen and enjoy as this local band plays the blues. Music will be from 7-9 p.m. Suggested $10 donation.

Sept. 19 — Holly Hyatt, a West Kootenay based singer, songwriter and bass player performs at the Dream Café with her five-piece soul, blues band at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27 for premium seats and $17 for the wings.

Sept. 20 — Relieve the music of the 50s and 60s with a rock opera musical concert with a Broadway feel — performing hits from Patti Page, Dean Martin, Fats Domino to The Platters, Elvis, Ritchie Valens and more. The concert is at the Cleland Theatre and tickets are $49 at www.BrownPaperTickets.com or by phone 1-800-838-3006.

Sept. 21 — Widely acclaimed for their live performances, Ghost will hit the stage at the South Okanagan Events Centre. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets available at the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC or online at ValleyFirstTix.com.

Until Sept. 28 — Many Hats Theatre Co. presents Rapture, Blister, Burn. Shows will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

Until Oct. 2 — Jolene Mackie’s Otherworldly Dreamscapes will be on exhibit at the Bench 1775 Winery. Mackie is the winner of the Kelowna Art Battle and has work in private collections around the world. She is also a member of the Artist Collective at the Tumbleweed Gallery. Meet the artist from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 15 when she will be doing a painting demonstration.

Sept. 14 — Thrash Wrestling presents Revolution BC, a tournament for the new B.C. Interior Championship at the Luso Canadian Multicultural Society (135 Winnipeg St.). The show is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 or four for $50. Meet the wrestlers after the show.

Sept. 19 — Kitchen Stove Film Series presents Tel Aviv on Fire at the Landmark Cinemas at 4 and 7 p.m. Series subscription is $38 for members and $44 for non-members of the Penticton Art Gallery. Single tickets are $13 in advance (at the Penticton Art Gallery) and $15 at the door.

Sept. 22 — The eighth annual Okanagan Vinyl Fest takes place at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Centre welcoming vendors selling vinyl and other forms of music and new and used audio equipment.

Sept. 25 — PDCAC is holding a call for artists for the upcoming fall show Magic & Mystery. Drop off is on Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening night and reception is Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 is the second opening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Sept. 27 to 29 — Arts Rising Festival/Culture Days 2019 with various locations and events around Penticton including Yanti sings the blues at Matheson & Grove Fine Art Gallery, collaborative painting with Lyse Deselliers at Tumbleweed Gallery, dance classes at Sparkle Dance Academy, Jump Into Writing with the Okanagan South Writers League at the Leir House and much more. Sept. 28 — The Comic Strippers, a male stripper parody and improv comedy show, returns to Penticton at the Cleland Community Theatre. Tickets are $39 (plus applicable service fees) and can be purchased at the community centre or call 1-800-838-3006.

Sept. 28 — Comedy night at the Dream Café with Patrick Maliha, the world record holder for most impressions in one minute. The show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $53 for premium seats and $43 for the wings.

Oct. 3 to 7 — Naramata Arts Studio presents its 21st annual Fall Art Show at the Community Church in Naramata. Join the artists on Oct. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. for their opening reception.
