The third annual Campbell River Mirror Charity Jazz & Blues Weekend kicks off tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
For three solid nights we’ll be visited by three of western Canada’s most glorified musical combos, and each night the cost is only two dollars.
And where does your money go? To charity. Each night a local charity will host the concert, and all they ask for is one little toonie, the cost of a cup of coffee. Now you can enjoy the music and feel great in two different ways. Let’s top last year’s numbers.
Two-time Juno Award winner Jim Byrnes (pictured, right) plays on Thursday the Vancouver-based Jen Hodge Jazz All Stars play on Friday and the Maple Blues Award winner David Gogo brings his rocking trio to play on Saturday, July 19. All concerts are 7-9 p.m.
Can you think of a better way to enjoy the weekend? Music lovers rejoice. Bring the family, and your lawn chairs.
