• Saturday, Bailey Theatre, 2 p.m. Teck Family Series presents Worlds of Puppets: Peter and the Wolf. Icelandic award-winning puppeteer Bernd Ogrodnik brings this enchanting story to life.

• Saturday, Bailey Theatre, 7:30 p.m. E2: Experiments in Entertainment presents Worlds of Puppets: Metamorphosis. Bernd Ogrodnik’s trademark performance employs a vast variety of puppetry styles through a collection of moving, hilarious and imaginative original short stories.

• Saturday, Royal Theatre, 2 p.m. showing This Mountain Life. Epic, beautiful movie, all filmed in B.C. Martina and her 60 year-old mother Tania embark on a six-month trek through the treacherous coast mountains of British Columbia, in a journey that has never before been completed by a duo. Their adventure is interspersed with beautifully crafted portraits of high-altitude human endurance and passion—an avalanche survivor, a snowshoe artist, a snowbound convent—that are by turns captivating and inspiring.

• Sunday, Royal Theatre, 4:30 p.m. Sunday Cinema presents If Beale Street Could Talk. A pregnant woman in Harlem struggles to prove her fiancé innocent of a crime. A celebration of love told through the story of a young couple, their families, and their lives.

• March 29, Bailey Theatre, 7:30 p.m. E2 Entertainment presents The Slocan Ramblers. Rooted in bluegrass tradition, blend of lighting fast and intricate instrumentals without pretension, made to get the audience moving.
