Atlantic Crossing is an elite entertainment package coming to Chilliwack Oct. 19 with world-class tributes
to the Beatles, Elton John and Rod Stewart.
Get ready for some of the best British music with three big tribute acts in one big show at the Royal Hotel Wellington 64 show lounge.
From spot-on versions of the early Beatles classics, to the energetic Sir Elton John, to the most authentic Rod Stewart tribute you’ll hear anywhere, don’t miss this show next Saturday night.
Haven’t checked out the venue yet? The show lounge has been nicknamed the Wellington 64. It’s located inside the Royal Hotel downtown, and worth a look.
Devika and Graydon Gillette run the Royal Cafe and recently re-opened the lounge.
“We now have a renovated area we are calling The Wellington 64,” said Graydon Gillette.
It’s the old Royal Pub and they’re putting on monthly shows, and events in the space.
They are reaching out to Chilliwack with a special invitation.
“We were hoping to declare to the community that we are open for business, cleaned up and renovated with a great new area,” he said.
The old beer parlour is gone, and in its place a modern lounge that is ready to welcome the community.
So back to the show.
Atlantic Crossing features a multi-talented cast with performers Marc Lafrance, Brent Stewart and Mick Dalla Vee who when not with Atlantic Crossing are touring the world as the backing band with Classic Rock Legends, Bachman & Turner. The fourth member of the band is Dave Reimer of Barney Bentall fame. Collectively their careers span three decades of fantastic music-making.
Some of their performance and studio credits include: Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Carly Simon, Cher, Glass Tiger, Loverboy, Trooper and and a long list of others.
You might have seen them playing the half-time show with Bachman & Turner at the Grey Cup in Edmonton and a couple years backed opening the NHL season on Hockey Night in Canada from Winnipeg.
Many in the music biz who’ve heard them agree that the musicians and the show and the band that is Atlantic Crossing is simply amazing.
“I have never heard anyone sound that close to Rod Stewart,” said Mike Reno of Loverboy. “The crowd
loved this show.”
