Cowichan Valley dance fans will enjoy a big weekend May 27-28 as three dance schools simultaneously. present their spring gala shows
Barre None Dance Studio presents Run the World, its annual springtime dance extravaganza, in three big shows at the end of this month at the Hugh Wilkinson Theatre at Shawnigan Lake School.
Presentations from this group run the gamut of style and feature students at all levels in exciting choreography.
Shows are scheduled for,May 27 at 7 p.m. and May 28 at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults and seniors and $10 for students and children. Get them the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre.

Has it really been that long since this series of shows started? Yes, indeed, and the productions seem to get better every year.
The big school is presenting its dancers in performance on May 27-28. Friday’s show is at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday the dancers hit the stage at the Killy Theatre at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Finally, at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre in Duncan, the Celtic Rhythm Dancers strut their stuff in Back to Tradition on Saturday, May 28 starting at 7 p.m.
This show will combine the imaginative choreography of recent productions, but the studio’s Judy Hogg promises, “Hey, guess what? We’re bringing back the bagpipes, kilts and a wee bit of tradition. Don’t worry. Your upbeat and lively show won’t be gone. We have just transformed our energy and music and can’t wait to share with you.”
Tickets are $19 for adults, with seniors, students and children getting in for $16 apiece. And $1 from every ticket sale goes to the Cowichan Valley Performing Arts Foundation.
