A concert on Friday, Nov. 3 at House of James (2743 Emerson St.) in Abbotsford features three bands – The Arctic, We Are Mystic and The Great Atlas.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.
GMA Canada Covenant Award-nominated The Arctic is a worship project founded by songwriter and musician Luke Vandevert and consisting of a collective of friends, songwriters, and musicians.
The Arctic travels around, meeting with churches of all denominations and putting on worship events. They meet with local songwriters and have one or two of them share some songs before an event and, in some cases, even join the collective.
The Arctic has teamed up with many talented musicians and songwriters over the years, including Ryan McAllister, Coalmont, Marika, Alex Toney, Achor, Daniel Kikkert, and more
We Are Mystic originated from two best friends – Addison Falls and Natasha Tunnicliffe – who loved to play music and needed a creative outlet to change the world.
They tell stories through song about the challenges and triumphs of everyday life, blending moments of alternative, pop, rock, and folk sounds.
Their self-titled debut EP pulls from different genres, highlighting their unique voices and creative songwriting.
The Great Atlas is a musical inspiration actualized by singer-songwriter Cole Prpich and violinist Joey Richter.
They present a blend of contemporary lyrics and melodies with classical roots.
Although their arrangement is considered acoustic, it is much more than just a voice, guitar, and violin.
