Fans of the hit Canadian TV series Trailer Park Boys will want to mark Sunday, July 15 on their calendars.
Cast members Sam The Caveman Losco and Tyrone, aka ‘T’ of J-Roc’s Rock Pile, are bringing their adult-themed comedy show to CJ’s Southwestern Grill. It’s expected to be a wild night of comedy and music, featuring everything from jokes, to contests, to songs, and even a hot dog eating contest, hosted by Sam the Caveman, himself.
Local entertainment is also slated to be featured during the evening, as Williams Lake hip hop artist Bryan ‘Bioson’ Delaronde will perform a set, while Travis Anthony, aka Young Catalyst, is scheduled to entertain with his stand-up comedy routine.
Delaronde met ‘T’ (real name Tyrone Parsons) — also a Canadian hip hop artist who got his start under well-known Canadian East Coast rapper Classified — during a show two years ago in Williams Lake. Shortly after Parsons, who performs under the stage name Knuckledhead, Delaronde and Williams Lake’s Jamie Warnock recorded a song together.
“It’s going to be a pretty crazy night,” Delaronde said of the show, which is currently on a Western Canada ‘Grease Fire Tour.’
“It’ll be mainly comedy with Tyrone and Sam. For people who don’t know the characters Sam plays a veterinarian on the show, and a caveman, and is always conning people,” he said.
“He’s one of the villains. From what I’ve seen going around on Facebook posts everybody seems to really be enjoying the show, and it’s going to be funny.”
During their stop in Williams Lake Delaronde and Parsons will also be shooting a music video for their song from 2 to 5 p.m. near Billy Bob’s Country Bar and Grill. That video is coming on the heels of another high-profile video recently filmed last week by Madchild of Canadian hip hop group Swollen Members for Williams Lake boxer Stuart McLellan’s entrance music, Ready for War.
“That was a huge success,” Delaronde said. “We did that at the boxing gym, then at Stu’s place, with Madchild and Doug Crawford. We had the camera crew, makeup artist, everything.”
The 2018 Grease Fire Tour, meanwhile, will get underway at CJ’s Southwestern Grill starting at 7 p.m. with the show slated to run until 10 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and are available at CJ’s.
“A special thanks to CJ’s for always hosting our events,” Delaronde said. “They’ve always been open minded to everything we’ve been doing, and none of this stuff would be possible without owner Cathie (Rossignol) giving us the venue to at least get them out here to do a show so we can build off that.”
