Palm Court – a nostalgic era dating from the 1910s is coming to afternoon tea at St. John the Divine Anglican Church.
This event, presented by Musical Mosaics, takes place at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at 579 5th Street, re-arranged for the occasion with a planned decadence. Proceeds from this event will be used to support the 5th Street Refugee Sponsorship Group.
Palm Court was a very nostalgic era epitomized by ladies in mid-calf fashionable dresses and ornate jewelry, accompanied by debonair gentlemen in suits and shiny black shoes.
Here is your chance to have a similar experience of afternoon tea with the accompaniment of light classical music by accomplished pianist Peter Walker.
The table will be set with fine china and the edibles will be equally appealing.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion to be a part of Palm Court fun and nostalgia.
You are welcome to enjoy all the event trappings with or without your hats and gloves.
A limited number of tickets are available at $20 each, by calling the church office at (250) 334-4331 or (250) 334-3385.
